The Corporate
Michael began his career with Arthur Andersen in January of 1988 after graduating from UCLA. He worked exclusively in the tax division and was promoted to tax manager in June of 1993. Michael received his CPA certificate in May of 1993 and is also a Certified Financial Planner Licensee. Michael left Arthur Andersen in August of 1994 to open his practice in Rancho Santa Margarita.
Michael has been married to his wife Jill for 30+ years. They enjoy spending time with their adult children Andrew and Amy and Amy's husband TJ. The family has lived in the Rancho Santa Margarita area for over 30 years.

The Corporate
Tracy began working at the firm in 1998, while attending Chapman University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Chapman with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2001 and spent nine months at Arthur Andersen before returning to work at Michael S. Templeman, Inc. in April of 2002. Tracy promptly received her CPA certification in September of 2002.
Tracy has been married to her husband Steve for over 20 years and has three children Boston, Dresden, and Berlin. Tracy and Steve have lived in the Rancho Santa Margarita area since 2003.

Our Story
Michael S. Templeman, Inc. is a tax and financial planning firm, which has been located in Rancho Santa Margarita since its inception in 1994. The practice is comprised of roughly 200 clients ranging from individual clients to its largest corporate client with $20 plus million in sales.
The firm consists of two Certified Public Accountants; Michael S. Templeman and Tracy N. Pitzer, and administrative support.
The practice employs state of the art resources to service clients in the areas of income tax, estate tax, and personal financial planning. Research services for federal and California income tax purposes, as well as other state research are accessed via top quality online research services. Providers include Bloomberg/BNA, CCH, and Lacerte.
The firm provides a variety of services depending on the needs of the client. Those services include income tax planning, fee-based financial planning (including retirement, asset allocation, and insurance planning), and tax return preparation. All services are provided on a fee for service basis, as the firm does not sell any financial products.
The firm’s revenues have grown every year since its inception in 1994. In order to protect both its clients and owners, the firm carries Errors & Omissions insurance with limits sufficient to provide adequate protection for all parties.
